Unity Walk for Parkinson's Disease
Nepalese Parkinson Disease Association (NePDA) is a non-government and non-profit based organization established in July, 2017 whose main vision is to improve the quality of life of Parkinson's patients and families across Nepal. The mission of NePDA is to be the premier resource for comprehensive educational programs and support services to individuals with Parkinson's disease. We will strive to remain a credible and trusted community partner for PD family members and medical services profession. We aim to unite the Parkinson's patients all over Nepal to our organization.
On the occasion of World Parkinson’s Disease Awareness month April, Nepalese Parkinson Disease Association is going to organize public awareness program on Parkinson’s disease on 6th April, 2019 in Bharatpur Metropolitan City. The main objective of program is public awareness on Parkinson’s Disease and encouragement to Parkinson’s Disease patients. The president and chief guest of program will be Asst. Prof. Munal Subedi (Motivitional Speaker, President of NePDA) and Mrs. Renu Dahal (Mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City) respectively. In addition, program is going to be held in presence of Prof. Dr. Jagdish Prasad Agrawal (Dean, Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University), Prof. Dr. Prakash Bista (Senior neurosurgeno, National Academy of Medical Sciences, Bir Hospital), Dr. Rajeev Ojha (Neurologist, TUTH), Dr. Bhojraj Adhikari (Endocrinologist, Bharatpur Hospital), Parkinson Patients, citizens and students from various colleges. The program is divided into three sections i.e. Rally (7:00 am to 8:00 am; Pulchowak to Global Hotel), Refreshment (8:00 am to 8:30 am) and Formal Program (8:30 onward) at Global Hotel.
